Based in Austin, Texas, Dr. Engelke brings extensive international experience as both a senior executive and an executive recruiter. He offers unique value to clients—particularly those with operations in Mexico, where he has successfully greenfielded and led a major manufacturing facility. Fluent in Spanish, German, and English, he is ideally positioned to support international companies navigating cross-border leadership challenges in Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
Dr. Engelke holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry (Dr. rer. nat.) from the Technical University of Braunschweig. His career includes senior roles at DÜRR Systems, ThyssenKrupp Systems Engineering, and BASF. At ThyssenKrupp, he played a pivotal role in planning, launching, and managing a new factory in Mexico, building strong local teams and aligning global standards with regional execution.
Later, as Site Director at BASF Argentina, he led four business units in the coatings industry. His leadership focused on restructuring for profitability and sustainability—resulting in the company’s return to a market-leading position in Argentina.
